Secure Architecture. Scalable Execution.

Building Secure, Scalable Systems with Business Insight

I am deepening my expertise in modern, scalable and automation‑driven environments. I am building a technical foundation around DevOps, cloud infrastructure and AI‑assisted software development. I work with container‑based solutions, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code to create development processes that are reliable and repeatable. I combine strategic thinking with continuous technical growth — human vision leads and AI supports. My long‑term direction is DevSecOps and I move toward it by adopting new technologies step by step.

My earlier career — more than 20 years in the business world — gave me a strong understanding of how different industries operate and how decisions are made. That background gives me a clear view of how technical solutions must serve real business needs. I’ve brought that experience into the ICT field, where understanding a customer’s business logic is just as important as technical skills.

My Interests in the ICT Industry

Infrastructure & Automation (DevOps)

DevOps is the first direction I am pursuing in my professional journey. I work with container‑based solutions (Docker) and automated CI/CD pipelines, focusing on building stable and maintainable environments where code moves reliably from idea to production.

This foundation supports my long‑term path toward DevSecOps, where security, automation and scalability form a unified whole.

AI-Human Collaboration
(AI-Ready)

AI has changed software development. It is now a collaboration where humans give semantic direction. I see AI as a partner that speeds up problem‑solving and reduces routine tasks. This creates more room for planning and creativity.

At the code level, generative models make work faster within the context defined by the developer. I am also looking at agent‑based workflows where AI agents build complete features.

Shaping the Future
(DevSecOps)

My approach is grounded in the use of AI alongside strong DevOps practices. My goal is to be a versatile professional who leads with human‑centered insight and uses AI to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

DevSecOps serves as the guiding principle for building secure, resilient and future‑ready systems.

My Technical Development Roadmap

I am building my technical capabilities through a clear and goal‑driven roadmap. The plan focuses on mastering modern development environments: Linux fundamentals, container technologies, version‑controlled workflows and automated pipelines.

From there, I advance toward scalable solutions through CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code, creating reliable and repeatable systems. I strengthen a security‑first mindset by integrating DevSecOps principles, automated checks and system hardening into the entire development lifecycle. This roadmap represents my commitment to purposeful growth and continuous technical development.

Skills, Learning & Projects

Learning:
Saranen Consulting, Code Bootcamp 2021

The Code Bootcamp organized by Saranen Consulting provided me with a broad foundation in modern software development and prepared me for further studies in the field.

The training focused primarily on Python and JavaScript, which were used to practice algorithmic thinking, object‑oriented programming and building web applications.

  • Programming & Logic: Primary focus on Python and JavaScript for algorithmic thinking and OOP, supplemented by exploring the core structures of PHP, the C family and Ruby.
  • Web Development & Databases: Hands-on coverage of HTML, JavaScript, CSS libraries like Bootstrap, jQuery and modern Vue.js. Along with the fundamentals of both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
  • Professional Practices: Version control with GitHub, software testing, mobile development basics and cloud service utilization.

Learning:
JAMK University of Applied Sciences 2022-2024 (Open UAS)

During this study path, I strengthened my foundation in software development, cybersecurity, system administration and modern ICT skills.

Throughout my studies, I have been strengthening my skills and building a foundation in software development, cybersecurity and system administration.

  • Programming & Web: Python programming, Web development (HTML/CSS) and relational databases with SQL for effective data structuring.
  • Infrastructure & Admin: Linux system administration and version control using Git and GitLab to manage professional workflows.
  • Networking & Security: Networking fundamentals and the OSI model, providing an understanding of protocols and security across communication layers.

Learning:
JAMK University of Applied Sciences 2025

JAMK Modern Software Development with AI, centered strongly on Agile and DevOps practices through hands‑on project work.
Professional reference:
Jouni Huotari, Principal Lecturer (JAMK)

This JAMK University of Applied Sciences program focused on software lifecycle management through Agile and DevOps.

Studies emphasized practical skills in cloud environments, specifically building professional development pipelines with Docker, GitLab CI/CD and CSC Pouta infrastructure. The program reinforced a DevOps mindset by integrating automation, system resilience and security.

  • Frameworks: ISO 27001, NIST SSDF, NIS2 and GDPR
  • Security Ops: Threat Modeling, Security by Design, Risk Management
  • Technical: SAST/DAST, OWASP, Vulnerability Scanning, System Hardening
  • Automation: GitLab CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker
  • Infrastructure: CSC Pouta (IaaS), Cloud Service Models (PaaS/SaaS)
  • Programming: Python, Bash Scripting, SQL, Web Development

Case I:
Department of ICT – City of Varkaus (2021)

Working in the ICT Department of the City of Varkaus involved delivering daily technical support and maintaining core Microsoft, Windows Server and network administration services across the organization.

Key responsibilities

This role included the following core IT support and system administration tasks.

  • Helpdesk Management – Support ticket request handling, prioritization and troubleshooting
  • Infrastructure & Server Admin – Installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices and Windows Servers
  • Software Deployment – Application installations across municipal departments
  • Active Directory Management – Managing users, GPOs and device registration
  • Autodesk Main Administration – User management and access control

Case II:
Internship-based learning in PrestaShop e‑commerce

The PrestaShop full stack project provided hands‑on experience in building development and production environments. The project was carried out in a six‑person team with shared DevOps responsibilities.
Technical Support Material
